How did we manage to pick the most beautiful day of the summer for our Poker
Run?
Everybody who went on the covered bridge tour saw some of the most beautiful
sights of Chester County PA. The temperature was perfect, in the high
70's, the countryside was lush and green. We gave everybody a sheet of
paper with directions to 5 historic covered bridges. At each bridge we hid
a bucket, each contained different tokens. Each participating rider and
passenger picked up a token at each bridge and brought them back. There
they traded them in for 5 cards to make up their poker hand. The ride was
about 85 miles long and took from 3-4 hours. Afterward there were food and
entertainment at the Maple Inn in Honey Brook PA.
